Recommended Hotels
There are hotels on the website, but if anyone knows of a good or cheap hotel nearby that they would recommend please feel free to post a link or contact info here.

Re: Recommended Hotels
I booket the NiteNite. The tiniest room I have ever seen (even when shot with a fish eye lens the rooms extremly small), but it looks neat and seems to be quiet central.
Anybody got an idea if the hotel is OK? Too late to change it anyhow, just curious.

Re: Recommended Hotels
Can't, I'm afraid. Joe Coleman, Dan Fish, Doug Noble and myself took The Thistle last year and we did alright. Its a reasonable fifteen minutes walk from the venue, and though not pretty from the outside, the rooms were laid out lovely. Smart rooftop bar too. The twin rooms worked out reasonably well, about 53quid a head.
I'm booked into the Central Birmingham Backpackers Hosstel this year, around Digbeth. The cost is 17quid for the Friday (shared) and 24quid for the Saturday (private) Seems to be well catered for with wi-fi and breakfast etc. The website asks for a two pounds deposit through card, and the rest is paid on arrival.

Yep, it's fine. It's small but I'm guessing you just need a room to crash so you'll have no problems. It's nice and central too so you'll have no problems either finding it or getting around.Anybody got an idea if the hotel is OK? Too late to change it anyhow, just curious.

Thistle
I went for the Thistle last year, all in all was pretty good.
We got a good deal on parking and breakfast when we checked in and it's as convenient for anything as anywhere else on the nine heading hydra of the Birmingham road network.

hostel
I just booked a bed place in Hatters hostel.
I was there last year too, it's quite cheap and friendly. If you don't mind sharing room with others you can have a go there. Toilet and washing facilities are usually inside the room. Prices are starting from £18 per night in a 4-6 beds room.
It's about 10-15 min walk from the TinkTank.
