what should i expect

its my first comic con and i dont know what to expect. what generaly happens at these events

i know my first time at this con 2 years ago was just amazing, my only reason for going rly was Mike Mignola and i was just overjoyed by the other things happening. and now its even bigger and has alot more going on.


something i would suggest is know who u want to see and what talks and such u wanna attend so u can plan your days. i know my first time i missed a few things i would have loved to see

other than that the indie guys are great, i know i loved having a look at what people outside the big publishers were doing. ull see a few cosplayers around and ull be spoilt for choice when it comes to buying some stuff.

Queues can start early for the big events, previously there have been events in rooms or lecture theatres, rooms are small and limited in size, so go early, the theatres are much bigger and you'e got a better chance of getting in. The introduction of the lecture halls last year was fantastic.

Remember the trade hall rule, comics near the entrance are more expensive than those further away

All the major events will be held in the State Of The Art theatre once again, so plenty of room, and superb AV facilities.

We've also now booked the extra space again, so more exhibitors and more space to move around.

First time visitor here. Looking forward to the show. Not sure what to expect and coming all by myself, boo hoo.

Is anyone going to the launch party? Doesnt seem like that many people have registered there interest on the chat rooms so far, just been browsing through the posts - Glad I did cause I didnt know we just turn up whenever with our paypal receipts.

Is this gonna be like one of those big American expos where you get loads of people dressed up like wolverine and supergirl, cause I was kinda looking foward to seeing all the supergirls.

Could we possibly set up a Supergirl wet t-shirt competition outside maybe.

A great idea, but just a little bit sexist eh? We did have a great wonderwoman in 2007 though.

So far we have around 350 people down for the launch party, so you'll have plenty of company, plus all the guests and exhibitors will be there too.

All pre reg who say they want to come will be added to the guest list as a plus one until we are full. There are about 100 places left I'd say. Entry is free to all pre reg over 18 who want to come.
