Who won the 2000AD submission comp?
BICS was my first ever comics convention and I had an excellent time. Everyone at the event were so nice.
My one disappointment was the 2000AD submission contest. I bottled out of entering. When I watched the first round I wish that I had found some cojones before. Most of the ideas were real crummy and I'm convinced I would have made it through the first round. Damn my lack of confidence.
Anyway, can you tell me who won the writing gig?

Charming.
I was impressed by everyone that entered - all the more so because of the super-challenging format. Summarizing an idea in a few seconds in front of a substantial crowd and some terrifying judges isn't easy, yet a lot of the entrants did a great job.
The winning idea ("9 to 5", I think?) was pretty spectacular, and I'd also like to know who wrote it and when it gets to print. Some of the other finalists had great ideas as well. I remember angels trying assassinate the President and a sneaky soul provoking a war in Hell.
Look forward to watching again this year.
