BICS 2009 UPDATES

BICS is now called The British International Comics Show.

This year's event will be happening - once again - at Millennieum Point in Birmingham, on the 3rd and 4th of October.

I'll add news of all developments to this thread as they happen.

HOWARD CHAYKIN CONFIRMED

That's right folks!

Legendary comics creator HOWARD CHAYKIN has now confirmed as the first overseas guest for BICS 2009.

We are very excited to have such a respected and prolific writer and artist attending the show and we look forward to welcoming him to Birmingham in October for what promises to be a great weekend!

The new BICS 2009 website is now online. There are still some pages to upload, but you can now order your tickets or book tables!

LAUNCH PARTY CONFIRMED

We have also now completely redisigned our website complete with more guests, a hotel page and a venue page.

UPDATE: CAPE AT BICS 2009!

News just in: Renowned publishers Jonathan Cape will be exhibiting at BICS 2009 with special Guest Bryan Talbot.

It's been a long time since Cape have seen fit to grace any comic convention with their presence an we're thrilled to welcome them to their very first BICS.

Not only that, but Mr.Talbot will be launching his new Graphic Novel GRANDVILLE at the show including a live presentation of his latest epic, with signings and sketching.

All this is included in the entry price along with an exclusive interview with Howard Chaykin, live art events, panels, quizzes and a great painting demo by the legendary Garry Leach, plus lots lots more!

A weekend not to be missed!
