BICS Got Talent 2009

Will there be a BICS Got Talent or writers Pitch event this year?

No BICS GOT TALENT event is planned for this year as no one has expressed an interest in such an event.

If more people ask us, we may consider doing it again so long as a publisher wants to do it.

BICS got talent was awesome! Four of us went last year to watch, and we'd all be interested in taking part.

If 2000AD won't do it, maybe one of the smaller publishers? It'd really be a blast.

Hi everyone,
I'm new to BICS this is my first year and I don't know what to expect but from what I heard it sounds like this will be great, looking forward to Charlie Adlard. What is BICS got talent? I have already writen my own story but have yet to get it published you can read a sample on protagonize.com and type Zedilon the beginning, but if this BICS got talent could help me get published I would certainly be willing to take part. Is there an age limit I'm only 15?

BICS GOT TALENT will not be happening this year for various reasons. The main one being that we have no space in the schedule
We will be holding DC Portfolio reviews and are talking to other publishers about also taking part, although these would be for folks seriously looking at a career in comics who have a profesional level of abilty and this would also be the case for any writing pitches we host in the future.
